Did it just start doing this or has this been ongoing?
Have you checked the dipstick to see if you are low? Maybe it's leaking?
Have you noticed any smoke from the exhaust or under the hood?
Does it happen regardless of how long you have been driving?
Any new mods or service/maintenance work done?

Need a few more details to help you out.

Also,

well to be completely honest i just picked up the car yesterday and the first two times i drove it before i bought it it didnt have this smell....i noticed that when i got done driving it yesterday that it did smell like oil a little...but i just drove to nyc(where i am now) and noticed that it did not smell from that long of a trip(4hrs) when i get off this page here im going to go check it to make sure...maybe when i get home tomorrow i should have someone look at it...? and if so which is better a dealership or a place like monroe or somewhere like that? thanks!!!

Go have the sparkplugs changed, you need to anyway. This will tell you if you have the leaking valve cover issue. All G's from 02' thru 04' are subject to this problem. Oil collects in the well where the sparkplugs are on the drivers back side.
