My 05 is about to be out of warranty (sitting at 56,xxx). I have a check engine light on now (p0011 per Autozone)so I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow. Is there a list of things I should have them "go over or correct" before 60k warrany is up?
THANKS!!

THANKS for the Mods moving this.......
According to Autozone, its an emissions sensor firing wrong. I hope its covered.
BY THE WAY..........the service engine light soon is the ONLY issue with the car. no problems with the way the car is running, starting, mpg, etc.

ive read posts on oil consumption issues and oil dripping onto the valve stems.. also a concern of mine. not sure if you have to check this yourself or you can ask them to check it.
i was thinking if you have them check it, they might just say 'they're fine' and later down the road these problems might come up and bite you in the butt..
does anyone have experience with this?

Why not pay an expert technican to FIND warrantable things that could be fixed under Nissan Warranty.................techs don't get paid by Nissan unless they actually replace parts......................hope you understand what I am suggesting that they won't waste time looking at everything unless they are paid in advance by YOU to FIND something.
Actually warranty work is less profitable to technicans than customer paid work since Nissan gets a volume discount on hours to do the same job.
Important to understand how dealerships as independent business work and how to optimize your experience at minimum cost.................you have to pay to play just as with everything else.
Don't confuse the dealership labor hour rate [$100-$125] with the fact that the technican gets $17-$25 per billable hour..............cash doesn't have deductions so $40-$60- $100 is a real attention getter to a technican. Careful management is always on the look out for such exchanges.
Why regular customers bring food and drink around holidays and have a special relationship with service writer and best techs.
