Don't bother unless you want to screw around with trying to get all the air bubbles out of the cooling system after you do this. If you're looking for a way to lower cooling system temps, consider getting the OEM higher pressure radiator cap from a 300ZXTT. It will essentially do the same thing, but for cheaper and a lot less work.

I have one. Install was easy and I did not drain the system. I did have air bubbles but purging the system of air was easy with the plug. I bought an aftermarket 300zx TT radiator cap to go along with the 350z/coupe thermostat but the seal was really crappy and was leaking. Never went to Nissan to get an oem one.

Do you mean the Nismo thermostat? I thought the oem one was the same for all three cars.

The FSM shows the sedan to have a higher rated t-stat than the coupe and z, at least for 03-06. Different part numbers showing the different temps shows in the FAST catalog.

You should buy the Nismo, it is better. I see constant lower temps with it.

Opening temp is on the thermostat, look for a Celsius rating.
