Re: Z-Tube & Pop or Injen or Nismo. Advice Appreciated

Omar,

heres my 2 cents..... I went with the z tube, K&N drop in filter and modified stock air box. I took the bottom resonator off the stock air box and also the air box trim around the top opening. It sounds awesome, at idle it sounds stock, a nice growl at 2-3 RMs and screams at WOT. works for me.

I was thinking about getting another another stock air box to proto type (anyone wanna donate) I want to cut most of the front of the box off but keeping enough to still lock the panel filter in place and also keeping the air director from above the radiator intact.. If you look at the stock air box you can see how a nice clean cut could be done. This would open most of the front of the box but keeping the sides, top/bottom and back intact as a heat sheild.

Seems this would be as good of a box or better than the JWT or Stillen , the only difference would be a panel filter vs the conical.

What do you guys think ?

T
