What are the stock rods in an 05 revup rated for?

Give or take 20 whp for sure.

Really though, OP the rods are the weak link in the engine. The G37 rods are MUCH better.

Anything above 450 is pushing it IMO

honestly, I would say anything over 400 is pushing it. If this is your daily driver then try to keep her below 400hp/400tq if you are on stock internals. Anything over that is playing with fire in my opinion. I'm not saying it can't/hasn't been done, but be careful.

Its not the rwhp but the rwt that kills the rods. When the boost hits and hits hard the rods are under extreme duress and thats why its best to move into the power curve as smoothly as possible.

Example would be do not stomp on it unless you are in the proper gear and rpm.To high of a gear in say an auto will force the trans to down shift with all that torque avalible right away.....and its either good by rods or good bye auto trans.

A manuel trans is much easier to keep in the right gear but still dont stomp on it in to high of a gear when at low rpms....or bye bye rods.
