2) I'll buy you a set of cams... you install them (since you've done 4 already) - you have long tube headers, so you're theory should hold for your car... and I guarantee you wont be 300+ hp.
If I'm wrong, you keep the cams... WHEN I'm right you pay me double for them.
If you are so certain - you will have a free set of cams.

1) the guy you were telling would get 300+ hp isn’t the guy in the vid... he's in the thread I linked (genius) - you said HE would get 300+ hp

My offer still stands - even with a tune...

Take it with a grain of salt. Thats the beauty of modifying cars, there will always be a topic of discussion with great debate. As do my offer stands that 300+ is def obtainable with the mentioned mods. OP, let us know what you end up going with

So far from this thread we've gotton the following opinions.
Only Nismo and Cosworth cams are good.
GTM cams are junk.
9 out of 10 time cams will lose power in an FI application.
Some pissing contest about 300whp cars.
Not one good solid datapoint about aftermarket cams.

But if the p!ssing match is over, I still welcome others to post good info and advice.

If it were NA, I'd be happy to share the research I did before getting the ones I went with... but it doesnt help with your specific question... I'm pretty sure you will get much more specific to your application in the areas I linked.

Jesus. This thread is full of misinformation from folks that are so sure about something that is considered an art form even among the masters of the trade. OCG35 is spot on! And NO, GTM cams are not copied junk just because one person says so, even if we are on the Internet! In fact they put out cams with different specs to distinguish themselves from JWT and others. That said, there are of course cheap copies out there on ebay and such. You CAN find cams that are great for NA and FI. Research builds in the FI section and NA build up section over at my350 (as linked above). CALL cam builders. Mr. Wolf and Mr. Clark love talking about their camshaft designs!
My personal opinion is that the camshafts with the best record to date on this platform (and supported here in the USA) are JWT, Brian Crower and GTM. Call Sam at GTM and ask him about the design of his camshafts. He's designed them for specific applications rather than a one size fits all (turbo, sc, NA). In my personal limited research I've seen some GTM cams with great midrange gain but I honestly haven't seen a lot of builds with them (not saying they are bad cause I really didn't research them in depth). I personally run JWT S2 cams (which make good power NA and are also a great choice for mild FI applications where stock driveability is a concern). I talked to Mr. Clark over at Jim Wolf Technology for over half an hour to learn more about what goes into the R&D for their cams.
Here are some links to get you started. Good luck.
