Hi there, I just got my G last last sunday and so far I am quite happy with it.
I want to mod my G but I had some questions and I did search around but couldn't find the exact answers :x

1) Will I pass smog with the Motordyne 5/16 iso penlum spacer? i live in california and the smog laws are very strict here.

2) I have a friend who has a Z and just installed a CAI. He is willing to give me his ZTube. I am going to slap that on my G but I am not quite sure which air filter to get. I see a lot of people with the pop charger, but is there any better one?

3) Will I pass smog with the HKS exhausts that costs arond $1500?

4) Will the penlum spacer damage my engine in the future?

5) Will my g sound nice with the MD PS, ZTube+air filter, and the hks exhaust combined or will i hear those raspy fart noises?

Just go with the popcharger z-tube combo or the stillen. Yes you will pass smog with those mods, brother just passed friday with those mods. And the engine growl and exhaust note will be music to your ears. Just go to youtube to listen to the HKS exhaust.
