I went to 2 walmarts last week and all the Castrol Syntec 5w30 was sold out! It was strange cuz they always have a full supply of it. Ended up going with Mobil 1. I've never seen the German oil at walmart, just at autozone but they want like $8/qt

 

Walmart carries the Edge.

 

anyone got uoa's for this stuff on the vq yet? I just put it in and plan on running it 10,000 and doing a UOA. NO FEAR

Quick question fellas, I just visited auto zone over the weekend and purchased 5 qts of Castrol syntec 0w-30 but it read European formula. Is that the same as the German cause I've looked everywhere and I haven’t been able to find where its labeled "German" and don't worry I have my flame suit on.

The Castrol Edge is the same stuff as the 5Qt from walmart that says "with Titanium" on it right?? or are these two different and i bought the wrong oil for the third time in a row?

 

+1 on the UOA. Dying to find out whether it's as good as Pennzoil Ultra-the oil they supposely put in Ferraris.

Castrol Syntec with Edge is Syntec

and Castrol Edge with Titanium is Edge

Edge shows great UOA's like Syntec. Edge is good for extended intervals. someone used it for a 8k or 9k OCI and it came out great.
