ECU replacement or flash?

I'm sure there have been discussions on this already but I am just wondering if there is an aftermarket ECU or flash available for the 04 model??

Thanks!

Re: ECU replacement or flash?

From what I hear there is a flash available for the early 04' models. You may have already heard that they are still working on the 04.5' Double check with Technosquare.
BTW, keep an eye on the forum there are some of us trying to get a group buy together.

Re: ECU replacement or flash?

i know that at wot (wide open throttle) the ecu does not actually open the accelerator fully (as little as 75%). The updated ecu fixes that. IT takes off the top speed (if u need more than 156mph something is wrong with u anyways). It redlines at 7100 rpms (one of my main reasons for getting it) and it will also control the a/f mixture better (u can cunstomize this based on your mods). In terms of actual horses, im not sure, but would be willing to guess that its none. In terms of track times, i would say that his is pretty helpful (7100 rpm limit and wot fix AND a/f mixture). If doing a lot of air flow mods.... this is just a good idea

Re: ECU replacement or flash?

Gninja, I believe there are 2 tests for verifying your eligibility for a reflash. Both are documented in the techno square website.
Regarding performance, following is the link to the technosquare dyno chart:

Re: ECU replacement or flash?

That works. So it looks to be about a 20hp gain? Any idea on the torque?

Re: ECU replacement or flash?

im soo downsyndrome when it comes to reading dynos....but seriously if im reading like u are, 20hp just doesnt seem right at all.... thats ridiculous... 20 hp from a non f/i mod for under a grand.... WELL UNDER a grand.

Re: ECU replacement or flash?

From what I have read on this site about the Technosquare ECU, there is a very minimal horsepower and torque gian from this modification. Especially if you are stock. If you want to add a decent amount of horsepower, i recomend buying a Crawford or Kinetix Plenum and Hi-flow catalytic converters.

I am also thinking about purchasing this ECU, but if it did it would be for the reasons that Raznip listed.

At wot, the updated ecu opens the accelerator fully

It redlines at 7100 rpms

it will control the a/f mixture better (u can cunstomize this based on your mods).
