Re: Pre and Post Crawford Plenum Dynos

Q-

1. Where is the "first precat"?

2. Also, if I wanted an accurate A/F measurement could I place the O2 sensor (from a Mustang Dyno with eddy brake current) at the "first precat" location and receive believeable A/F results?

3. IF the results came back that I was running lean could I add the TS ECU and then re-dyno and attempt to "fix" the lean condition? I think this is an easy question...

4. IF the TS ECU appeared to "fix" the lean condition and give me, once again, acceptable a/f ratios, and my horsepower had increased, say 30 bhp over stock, would it be safe to say that my engine would be in good a good operating range or are there other factors that I'd be not figuring into the equation like air inlet temp, etc...?

The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

Re: Pre and Post Crawford Plenum Dynos

Neff, Gurgen and Clint may be able to confirm but I'll take a stab:
1) Passenger side before the cat, much tougher to access according to my dyno guy which is why he took it from the #2 on the drivers side.

2) My dyno guy said he does what he did with the #2 o2 sensor with lots of cars and gets about 10 runs before the ECU gets goofed up. I think I proved that is true for the G with my last dyno posts.
3) that is what I'm being told. If you believe Q45TECH you aren't lean.
4) My dyno guy looking at my data said I could definitely make more power if I took care of the rich issue >5000 rpm but he didn't see that my results were something I HAD to "fix". He did think the ECU reflash would clean everything up though....Rod
