why does my G engine temperature idle at HOT?

My car isn't a daily driver, i just noticed this when starting it and letting the engine run for about 45 mins... the needle is close to H

I checked my coolant level and it seems fine... about 25% between MIN and MAX... When i turn my AC on, it blows cool air and then rapidly starts blowing warm air no matter how low I adjust the temperature. My car is garaged kept most of the time. Any idea to what it can be? This just started happening. The last time I took my car out was maybe more than a month ago and it was fine. Ever since then it's been in the garage. Any ideas?

You need to bleed air out of the system. Look on the passenger side, behind the engine. There is a plastic screw there going into a hose. Open it, start car, turn on HEAT, add coolant until it start to come out of that screw, close screw, let car cool down. Rinse and Repeat until HEAT stays hot.

Did you notice any coolant on the ground? You might have a small leak, slight crack in a hose, could be a lot of things. I have no idea how often it happens.

no coolant or any signs of leak on the ground at all... my fans should be working, because i turned the ac on and it was blowing air, just not cold air... so i dont think its the fan.

If it isn't air, it could be a bad thermostat? If your thermostat isn't working then your temps will just keep going up.

not sure what it is, i decided to start it up again, this time i took it out for a short test drive, turned the ac on, working fine. got cool air, and my temperature was at 50%, seems normal. Not sure what is going on, my coolant level is max too, checked all my fuses by the drivers door and the battery, nothing wrong. weird. Don't think my thermostat is bad, because this time it stayed normal. Maybe i just need to drive my car more often instead letting it sit there. I hardly drive it. Maybe a few times in a whole year. Maybe my car needed circulation and needed to breath?

Ok guys, I started my car again the day after to do some testing. I let the engine run and warmed up, took about maybe 5 minutes or so. Car thermometer was at 50%, which is how it should be. After 30 minutes I notice the needle on the thermometer start to slowly rise. This is when I got scared and shut my engine off. I am pretty sure my fans are working. Cause when i turn my a/c on, i feel air blowing at me. I checked under the car for any signs of leaks and none whatsoever. Coolant level is at Max as well.

Some people say I can have air pockets in my cooling system and to start the engine with my radiator cap off to get rid of the air bubble while turning my ac fans on full blast to let the heat from my engine come into the cabin in order to keep it cool, and others tell me it could be a bad thermostat.

What should I do first to try to pinpoint the problem before taking it to the dealership. I haven't tried removing the air bubble thing because I don't really understand how to do it and don't want to risk messing up my engine.

When you turn the AC on the radiator fan should come on. You might need a new radiator cap, but I would put my money on the thermostat, or your fan is not turning on.

so the reason my fan isn't turning on when my engine temperature gets hot is because of the thermostat?
