If you look at the RPM drop, the shifts occur EXACTLY at that power level.........when it goes into the next gear. Granted, the electronic wizards soften the blow by pulling timing, but you are confusing the issue with more math. The tranny is sure seeing all the power after the shift.
Max acceleration is due to max torque, not HP. The shift places the trans right in the torque peak.
Forget the shifting for a sec....is the Minnesota car going to explode BEFORE the shift, when it is making more than 'max' power? I don't think so.

If you are going to quote formulas and numbers, at least make sure the math is accurate: 5252/6400 x 300 x 0.9= 221.56 NOT 234
Why the 0.9 modifier?
w/o the modifier, the math adds up to 246 ft/lb @ 6400 rpm before the electronic timing adjustments.

My head hurts.
Chicago, I'm saving your user name in my "buddies" and after I get over this outlay of money I just dropped on a BMW K1200 RS I'll be giving you a hollar. When I get closer to actually considering nitrous I'm going to study this more seriously and if I do it, it will be "right" and "safe". No need here to get greedy.

Just let me know if you have any questions on the nitrous Cat. I will be more than happy to help in any way. I have ran nitrous on the G for months.
Chicago, Good cleanup.... Nothing against the "Tech"!!
