One thing I've noticed about the car is that starting and stopping it in short distances eats the gas. If you're going on 30 mile commutes to and from work such as I am each way, i get pretty good gas mileage considering i'm not always turning my car on and off. You'll notice just turning on the car your gas has gone down. Now i know the needle eventually moves up but I do think it still goes down by turning it on and off.

A 6 mile commute is just too short. By the time your engine is warmed up enough to be working optimally, you're alreay at work or home. Take a longer route :P

 

I did this last weekend..expressway 60 miles each way. Got around 22 per NAV

 

I'm at my worst tank right now. 1/4 tank left, 158 miles after full. A lot of hill driving with leadfoot. Car has 11k miles on it.
