Some Hot Mod From JAPAN (grounding the battery)

I heard this mod is for the battery, it looks like a grounding kit for the possitive and negative nerminal, but im not an EE so im not sure what will this mod do to the car.
Can any expert explain? People here in Asia claim this mod will save gas, add little amount of HP and...etc.
ths cost of this mod is $400 dollar i think thats too much for this little mod...im sure the cost would be around 5-20 dollar to make it...

this has been covered before numerous times. if you can make one, please do and sell it to all of us people who put in grounding kits. hehee, no real info on it so far though.

A similar system was tested on dyno in this month's Turbo & High Tech Performance mag on a 350Z. I only did a quick scan of the article, so I'm not sure of the details. I think it did produce increased power by itself, but only minimal gains (< 1 hp & tq?) over the the Hyper-Ground system in comparison.

I looked into an HVS last fall. I decided that it wasn't worth the extra cost as it seemed that most of the benefits were had with just a H-G system. The cost of high quality capacitors, etc. just didn't justify the marginal benefits according to my R&D team, and I dropped the project. A few have reported noticeable effects however, but few have tried this in isolation without doing a H-G system at the same time.

OK
you want review you got it

The HVS costs $1300 HKD ( about 2xx CDN ). The installation took less than 5 minutes. It has 2 cords that connect to the + and - terminal of the battery. Just unscrew the terminal, and it bolts on to the terminal screw.

I cannot said it adds crazy HP but it does help the mid range and high range torque. Starting Acceleration didn't improve much from the test I conduct with my butt however the mid range is pickup kick down has improved. At last, the best part of HVS which is when taking a corner. The torque is just fabulous when you nail it when you exit a corner or try to power slide. I actually can do a uphill drift after the install. The throttle response in mid range is so much better than stock.

But if you want to improve your initial acceleration, I would recommend Gord's Grounding Wires. Although I haven't bought it yet, I heard lots of great reviews and some pretty good facts from Gord. I will purchase a set as soon as I have the funds.

Re: Some Hot Mod From JAPAN (grounding the battery)

sorry for being skeptical, but i really find it impossible that this little box can help with torque so much so that it is noticable. and 1hp gains cannot really be proven on a dyno. my dynos went up 10 hp just after some time to allow the engine to cool. only about 5 minutes too.

Exactly what I am going to do.
You may be skeptical about its abilities but you can't be skeptical that it is one of the hottest product in Japan right now.

Re: Some Hot Mod From JAPAN (grounding the battery

It still amazes me how some people pay money they earned with hard work for something they don't understand how it works. And speaking of this kit - a bunch of caps adds horsepower ? Give me a break. I would laugh my *** off if this was not so sad.

Sorry.

Re: Some Hot Mod From JAPAN (grounding the battery

.............
You think probably everyone bought it are stupid? Maybe everyone just wanna feel better and say it did have performance gain. So you must be the smartest guy here. There are lots of things that you don't understand in this world but it still happens.

And there are clear explanations of how all the stuff works. Grounding Kits, HVS......... If they don't work, why would so many famous companies are coming up with these stuff? To put their name on the line? No way.

I suggest you find out why these things works before you come in here and start giving people crap for having a useful mod.
