Clutch problem

Ok so I did some searching and first heres the problem..

My clutch engages and disengages... then once in awhile it sticks AFTER disengaging. Ive searched through posts full of people questioning the pressure plate and also some that think getting a new stainless steel clutch line will solve the problem.

But none of them say when the clutch is sticking... for me the clutch comesout halfway (OEM disengage) then wont drop back the rest of the way. Wouldnt this mean the pressure plate is working?

And would it have anything to do with the line either?

change out the clutch fluid (same as brake fluid) with a synthetic brake fluid. Impurities are getting into your fluid causing it to overheat sooner than normal. there are a bunch of threads on this.

I had the same issues...I tried switching to a DOT4 fluid designed for higher temps. I personally didn't think it would help too much, but I have NO issues since switching the fluid. By the way, my issues with my clutch ONLY happened when it was warm outside (75 degrees and up). Living in WA state, that doesn't happen as often. There are some great videos on this board and on youtube for DIY fluid changes. Very easy and inexpensive. Certainly worth a shot! Let me know if it works for you.

ur not going to like this response one bit, but here goes. I was experiencing the same thing with you, i started off with the little things. i wound up having basically everything attached to the trans, minus the transmission replaces. Clutch, flywheel, TOB, ss line, new clutch pedal assy, new slave/master. good luck lol

i had all that replaced as my mechanic was doing my clutch job (jwt clutch/flywheel) he also had said my oem pressure plate was cracked, which could have been causing that as well. i just wanted all the old stuff replaced with new

Definately dont like that last answer... I left it awhile because it was a cooler july than usual and it wasnt acting up so im hoping it is the fluid. Now that its hot again im having trouble again.
