^^^ yes, it’s a well-known and multi-documented problem (in other threads in addition to the one you posted).

But I didn’t think a TSB had been released... that sure would make replacement much easier though.

Yeah I already got the VC replaced under warranty before the spark plug change. There was just a little bit of oil pooled on spark plug tube #6 but I believe that was old oil (black) before the VC was replaced. All of the other tubes are dry. I've since removed the oil out from #6, and probably after a couple thousand miles, I'll re-check that spark plug tube for any oil leaks.

How often should you replace your spark plugs? 100k miles? Mine has 50k now...

I replace mine every year but my motor is not the normal sedan setup and I run copper plugs. If I was N/A I would go every 30k to be safe. If you drive extra nice, every 60k.

They say plats can go 100K, but every 100K mile plat plug i've seen looks like junk.

I usually say around 60-70K miles you should really consider it. I might do mine at 50K just to check the VC's for oil pooling. But honestly replacing plats around 50K is kinda of just more for peace of mind.

I run copper plugs in my Mustang since it's a better conductor, but change those out yearly. I prob put 4000 miles on them. Copper and Silver plugs are a better conductor of electricity...but they don't last nearly as long as plat/iridium.

I might try some silver plugs for the hell of it
