Got beat bad by a stock 350Z!, Any ideas why?

I'm not gonna as far as saying you can't drive, but you just suck at driving compared to your buddy if you're comparing to him having 75hp more.

Thanks Laconic2!......I just got back from doing a few pulls on 66 from a rolling 50mph. My buddies Z did pull away slowly this time but nothing like before. The new coils and plugs did help out a lot. His Z was basically walking me before but now he just pulls away slowly.....I can live with that. Not sure why the check engine light did not go off before. Thanks for the positive help and to all the people who had worthless negative post (MikeYo), GROW UP! we are all here to help one another not bash each other.
