a small piece of split rubber hose over the AC line takes care of any potential rubbing issues... many times the position of the MAF housing will determine clearance - for me with the sensor straight up there's no rubbing... to the driver-side fender there is slight rubbing and straight down the plug touches firm - this is all with Stillen air box - recently I installed OEM air box (first time in over 4 yrs) and it doesn’t rub at all in any position.

Anyway - I keep a piece of split rubber tubing on the line as precaution.

Good point. I have the Stillen intake and no clearance problems. Been on it for 4 years 75K miles no issues. But all these folks on the board make me nervous with their scary stories, so after four years of no issues, I finally put a hose and lubed it just for good measure.

Does it matter what year Z you pull the Z tube from to put on a particular year G? I can't think of a reason why it would matter but I thought I would check before I pick one up online from someone.
