Well, they're wrong......Thus far it has easily been the biggest hp per dollar mod I have done. Keep in mind that this will only run with a retune calibrated for the larger housing. Maybe technosquare doesn't recommend it because they don't have a tune for it. It's possible since very, very few run one.

I love the samco tube....80mm and looks bone stock.

tune

^^^hey man did you get your car done at function tuned? I had a spacer and mrev2 put on there, I recently got a clutch lightweight flywheel, I was thinking of heading back to get a tune. What did he charge for the dyno and the tune?

Depends on what you are tuning with.

It's about 750-800 with tune. I should mention my results a bit out of the norm. Most cars tuned on this dyno with bolt-ons and tune are in the 235-245 range. My car made 246whp on his dyno with pop/spacer/ur pulley/testpipes/turboxs y-pipe and exhaust/ and Osiris tune. The 262 was with a few other things.

you must be pleased, those are great numbers, yeah I was shooting for the 250 range, I have the 5/16 spacer, mrev2, and a fast intentions exhaust. I dont really even know if a tune would benefit me at this point and am really on the fence about fi at some point so I dont think Im gonna do headers.

You would benefit from a tune. You might only pick up 5-10whp in gains, but you will pick up huge power in partial throttle. Along with that you will get instant (100%) open throttle and for me anyway.....better mpg. My car was dangerously lean with similar mods as you have(I had test-pipes as well). If you add test-pipes and a tune you might get to 250whp on that dyno. I can't in good conscious recommend headers. Unless you plan to supercharge your car or do internal breather mods (i.e. ported heads and cams) they are complete waste for the money.

Yeah the whole lean thing is why I want the tune, I had some issues with spark knock at high rpms, I ran some fuel additives and it went away but I think my afr is a little off.

I said I spent less than $1K for 36whp, which is the truth...I made no other claim.
