MPG went down after simple mods

When my car was stock I used to get between 270 and 290 miles out of a full tank of gas. After a few mods like drop in filter, ztube (which I don't think makes any difference), 350z HR Y pipe and 350z mid pipe the car started to only give me around 200 miles per tank. Does this mean that the car is running too rich? Will a tune help? Thanks for looking!

The more air you take in, the more gas you burn. A tune should help make more power while increasing fuel efficiency at the same time.

Yup it should. For me I centralized my bad gas mileage after my bolt ons to the lead foot. Happen to my f150 after k&n and exhaust. Also happen to my old mustang once I added stuff to it. For some reason my foot just got heavier once I put PERFORMANCE parts on 'em

All joking aside, I love my uprev.

Drain the cement from your right shoe before getting into the car.

LOL! Probably it's the sound of the exhaust! It get you to places....

But now for real, before the tune... headers or HFC? Can't afford both so I have to decide the best bang for the buck.

okay, a little known fact about the VQ... stock it run pretty lean. you add "breather" mods to the mix and the ECU overcompensates and makes you run rich. a good tune is key.

I have to read more to find the best device for my goals. I want to be able to get a good tune while NA, but If I get to finally convince myself to go FI I want the device to fit as well.

Hypermilers don't necessarily baby their cars either... so to say your heavy foot is why you get such sh*tty mpg is false.
