Do your VB also while it's down.

I'm trying to avoid down time... car was down for two moths during recent body project... plus I spent twice as much as anticipated - so I'm trying to back off on spending (even though I just bought more stuff )

I'll eventually get VB - not sure how soon though... depends on what deals may come up

Boston: not sure... the engine got pretty hot (temp gauge went past the middle) in the beginning so maybe it wasn't opening. I drove around all day and it was rock solid the car-thermometer says 106 today so its nice to see the engine temp normal (maybe slightly lower, not sure though) Did have one issue today though, I was sitting in a parking lot for like 20 minutes and the temp kept rising, not sure if the fans weren't kicking on or what but I killed the engine and sat for 10 min, then when I drove around everything was good again.

You probably have air in the system still. It takes a long time to get all the air out of the system. After the car starts to cool down you need to have that relieve plug open and the rad cap off for a good 60-90 minutes to get all the air out.

have you had any problems with the G since you intalled the headers? SLIP/VDC/CEL? Also do you feel the need to have your G re-tuned? I install headers this weekend and was wondering about re-tuning. (My G threw all the lights _SLIP_VDCoff_and CEL) tripped the TPS and went into fail safe mode while driving. not fun.

thats weird.... I got no codes what so ever...

I did have orsiris tune before, I think a retune would help some but I figure I'm not so bad since I have already got one before the install. I'm going to wait to retune untill after I finish porting/polishing/portmatching the TB>IntakeUpper>Lower>Runners and putting a popcharger on

I would check your wheels out, and possibly the steering linkage could be off... I read somewhere that people were having problems when they didn't mark the linkage so it wouldn't turn all the way to a side and it was throwing a code. I would try adjusting that. I didn't see the need to mark it, I just slid it up and didn't take it out, My wheel was locked during the install.

Yes my wheel was locked too but the link was disconnected and the shaft was slid upward out of the way, but at some point i think the wheels were turned to one side or the other. how do you get that linkage repositioned correctly?

mmm not sure, maybe turn the steering wheel until your wheels are both exactly parallel with the car (straight forward) then see if the steering wheel looks like its centered correctly (not turned right or left any) if it is then disconnect the linkage and try to get it centered.

ok forget what was said in my last post, i took the g out for a slow drive and come to find that the steering linkage was off by a lot. Adjusted it and now all the lights on the dash are normal(off). but the next issue the i have is a long gasp sound when i come down from a high rpm or rev. it sorta sounds like a long blow off valve. what a pain but thanks for your help.

You're very good at this. It would take me like 2-3 days for this.
