Motordyne Iso Thermal Question Regarding Coolant & Such

OK I searched the forums but with so much content it is getting pretty tough finding out the info I need to know.

I ordered and installed the copper iso thermal plenum spacer a few months ago.

Would it be wise for me to install some time of coolant bypass or valve? It gets cold here in the winter and I didnt get any valve in my iso thermal kit... was I supposed to?

Dan

If you installed the copper element plate behind the throttle body and connected the coolant hoses then you are set. Either those without the copper, or those that want to stop the flow through the copper element (heater) need the shutoff valve. Read the Motordyne instructions and you'll see what I mean. I have the copper element and no shutoff valve.

I also live in a cold weather climate (MI) and the coolant bypass should not be used.

theres no reason not to install the bypass valve, it can be turned on or off. keep it open under 50 degrees
