I don't have any issues with taking it out or putting it in. Its just getting that good oil reading.

Hi guys, I just got a G35 coupe. Stupid question but how do you even pull out the dipstick in the first place? On all my previous cars it was very easy, but this one I'm not sure. The manual just says pull out the dipstick.. So do I just pull harder on it straight up? That would mean a lot more force than on most cars or is there some other trick to it (push it in first or sideways etc!? ). I wouldn't want to crack anything first week of owning the car..

Thanks ahead of time. I feel retarted not being able to check the oil level in the car - basic stuff!

just pull it up. if you think getting it out is fun, wait until you put it back in. when possible, i take the airbox out for better access. has this been improved at all on the vq37

Wow, putting it back in is a pain in the a$$. Speaking of annoyances, does the sun glass holder actually hold anyone's sunglasses? It couldn't fit anything remotely resembling sunglasses Great design.

+1 on it being dirty and letting sand in the engine when you pull/replace the dipstick at a gas station.
