Possible OIL CONSUMPTION NEED HELP!!!

First off, hello. I'm new to the forum and too g35s. I've been looking for one for a while, and finally bought one yesterday. An 05' black on black 6mt loaded w/navigation w/ 53k. on the clock. I bought the car in houston and drove it back to new orleans approx. 400 miles. The car looks and, runs great. The dealer I bought the car from changed the oil before I bought the car. I assumed they filled it to the correct level. Today when I got home I checked the oil level it was low, it took 1 1/2 quarts to bring it up to the H on the dipstick. The dealer gave me a 3 month 3,000 mile powertrain warranty, and I also purchased a third party bumper to bumper warranty. My question is if I take the car to Infiniti and, according to their TSB I have OC should it be covered by my warranty and Do you think Infiniti would be more "helpful" knowing they wouldn't have to pay for it?

You would have to fight for it. They probably will deny the consumption problem. But you can like drive and pretend like you didn't know and once the engine breaks down you be all like wtf you guys did oil change week ago why is there no oil I WANT MAH DAMN NEW ENGINE!!

Should I take the car to Infiniti and have them do an oil change, so I'll have a service record showing the car was checked and filled to their specs? If so do I mention OC and see if they can help push it through with the warranty company? Or do I just let it blow up, and pray they don't deny my claim?

Didn't someone just post that Nissan \ Infiniti is finally acknowledging this problem in their service manuals?? If that's the case wouldn't they know it's their fault?

I'll see if I can find the post.

that would be me:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...non-revup.html

they started to act like fools the other day since I do my own oil changes, they requested to have my oil and filter receipts since i've owned the car - luckily all of them were made with my debit card so i was able to retrace my steps and get duplicates printed out. Without them, I most likely will not get a new engine, even though I AM covered under warranty.

i'm await until monday or tuesday to get an update from the dealership.

Definately remove ANY and ALL mods no matter how insignificant you think they might be. I know a guy who got denied because of a catback exhaust.

Return to stock and go to a dealership. They will start an oil consumption test.
