Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires, best mod you can make to a G is tires. 225/55 nice tall sidewall to allow for sidewall flex on launch. between learning how to launch and the tires I cut 0.4 seconds off my quarter time, and with better shifting I cut 0.2 seconds off. I can consistently cut 2.11, 2.12 second 60' times now. with drag radials I could nail a 1.9 i think and be in mid 13 second territory
A good thumbrule is for every 0.1 second you save in the 60 you save 0.2 second in the quarter.
I only have the one sub 14 second time, more to come this fall.

Ok, I just noticed you have a 6MT...that's pretty much that with that...Your screen name always throws me for a loop.
Ok, so what RPM do you launch at?
I have Nitto Drag Radials and 2.2 is the best I have run yet since all the mods...that netterd the 14.1 and a bunch of really low 14.2s...I have trapped over 100 MPH 6 times now since the mods so all of the power is there for 13s...it's this $&*#$ Nissan TCS/VDC retarding all the power...I just got a line lock and have to find a place to do it and do it nice on the G...then, if I can actually heat the tires up and figure out how to launch above 3000 RPMs...13's should be easy in nice weather...otherwise...my launch and 60' time will always be hindered by this damn car's inability to launch hard in 5AT form...if I had a 6MT with this combo I know 13's would be a regular thing.

I have Nitto Drag Radials and 2.2 is the best I have run yet since all the mods...that netterd the 14.1 and a bunch of really low 14.2s...I have trapped over 100 MPH 6 times now since the mods so all of the power is there for 13s...it's this $&*#$ Nissan TCS/VDC retarding all the power...I just got a line lock and have to find a place to do it and do it nice on the G...then, if I can actually heat the tires up and figure out how to launch above 3000 RPMs...13's should be easy in nice weather...otherwise...my launch and 60' time will always be hindered by this damn car's inability to launch hard in 5AT form...if I had a 6MT with this combo I know 13's would be a regular thing.

Oops, forgot myself. I have 355WHP/404TQ dyno proven. Ran a 13.6 @ 108 with street tires and a horrible 2.4 0-60ft. launch. Caught some wheel spin in second to. This is the best slip I found. However, my best is 2.0 0-60ft and a 12.79 @ 111, but I don't have the slip.... I got kick out of the track because I didn't wear a helmet (the rules at my track require a helmet for anything faster than 13.99), plus I told them my car was stock at tech-in. Several of my friends in the stands told me what my run was.

Look in the fuse box for the brake fuse and pull it. If the brake lights won't come on afterwards you got the right one.

Boss, that automatic is still far better for drag racing (at least at the strip) than my 6MT. Add a cooler, a shift kit and a higher stall torque converter. You can get down to 0.1-0.2 second shifts with a couple thousand invested.
However you will have to rebuild it before too long due to some slippage. At that point put in beefier bands and upgrade the other software inside. Then you will have a bulletproof tranny unless you add FI

LMAO...My car is a lease...if I do anything else it would be the exhaust in full...but I have yet to see a car in person with it all done and then I would need to drive it and hear how loud it is, etc.

We scrimp and save and mod and tune... but where does it get us? Post your results and get in the G35Driver TOP 5. Rankings are based on dynos (SAE corrected) and official track results. In order to be in the TOP 5, you must have a dyno or 1/4m slip to back it up. Do not post your charts/slips...just the date and location of where you did it. Yes, dyno's differ...but this is all in fun anyway, right? Let the bragging begin!
Make sure you update your online profile so that people can see what you have installed.
