Stillen HF air box spec?

Any one know the spec on Stillen high flow air box intake filter? For example, the front and rear radius and the length. I'm trying to make homemade version of this intake with oem air box. I think with little mod to oem air box and filter that fit would work... $200 for this Stillen's intake is way overpriced IMO...

Haven't taken out my pop-charger filter but just from eyeballing I think it is too big to fit inside the oem air box...

Why not just get a k&n dropin filter for the stock airbox and work from there?

Re: Stillen HF air box spec?

JWT pop-charger has more aggressive sound than K&N filter. I want best of both world... aggressive sound with cooler intake temperature. I don't think heat shield works that well on pop-charger...

Doorknob, ;-)

You don't need to make an exact copy of the Stillen radius. The inlet radius on the stock box is so small that any increased radius that you put on would increase the inlet discharge coefficent very rapidly. The Stillen radius is already so large that making it any larger won't make a functional difference.
A radius half that of the Stillen would be more than adequate.

In Theory, practice and theory are the same.

Re: Stillen HF air box spec?

I just want to know what size intake fitler (length, width, and height) i need to fit inside oem air box. I figure stillen high flow air intake would be good place to start. I'm not trying to copy, just need some spec to start working on my idea...

if you have Stillen air box would someone measure the spec of the intake filter... thanks in advance
