NOs..whats the most...
Hey guys,
I was wondering whats the most someone has squeezed on a G repeatedly without blowing up the engine....
I was thinking about a Dual Stage kit. A fogger kit, Direct port and a purging kit. But i really think that would be too much!!!! WHat shall i do? Rebuild? Yes i have thought about it but way too much money right now...
Whats a safe number that someone should shoot and be ok?? I wouldn't shoot this all the time. probably 5-7 times max..
Thanks
Ed

You can use the search button here and on my350z.com to find out all you'll ever know about running nitrous on our cars. It can be done right and people are running up to 175-shot without any issues. I used a 125-shot abusively for over a year. I then bumped to 150-shot for about 6 months and went to 175-shot when I got my progressive nitrous controller.
There are about a half dozen people that I know or have spoke to on these posts that are running 175-shot (about 150 - 155 to the wheels) with no problems, you just got to do it right. THen there is about another dozen or so running a 125-shot. Most people are running in the 100-shot range. There have been may reports of people blowing their engines with forced induction, but no reports about engines blowing from nitrous except one guy who blew it because he used an octane booster which cause his fuel solenoid to stick open while he was spraying.
If your going to go big, make sure you have safety controls such as an RPM window switch, possibly and A/F switch, colder plugs (I have never run more than 1 step colder, but you should run 2-steps colder if you are spraying 150 or above), digital or wideband A/F guage, some dyno tuning, etc... Do your research before you jump into it. For example, most kits tell you to use a T-Tap to cut into your fuel line, which you shouldn't really do. You should consider getting the SPX Kentmore fuel adapter.
