Hmm...should I install these Pro-1 headers?
Re: Hmm...should I install these Pro-1 headers?
moog,
Would you consider having a performance shop do the install for you or are you going to tackle the job yourself? If you let a performance shop do the install for you, why not see if you can squeeze out 2-3 pre and post dyno runs for free? That would be some valuable info for the rest of us...
The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

Re: Hmm...should I install these Pro-1 headers?
If I do install them myself, I'll just take it to the shop I used to work at. I used to help run the Dynojet 248C there, and I should be able to get some runs in before install.
I'm still debating if I want to put headers on though. I had promised myself that I wouldn't spend *too* much on mods. And the only reason I have the headers is because they're the first set that Pro-1 has...I'm their guinea pig =). I might sell it to another local and have that person do some pre/post dynos.

Those are some nice looking headers, Moog.
I say go for it and take a chance. Even if they are just decent (ie. better than DC and close to nismo) you sould be very satisfied with the gains.
but seeing as crawford headers give the best gains, why doesn't any body try to make something closer to them?
How much will these headers be going for?

wow, resurrecting my thread from last year. They should pass smog because the headers do not affect emissions. As long as your stock cats are in place, you should be fine.

I've thought about doing headers too, but I've heard from more than one source that it will cost you low end power while giving you gains up top.
I'm still on the fence about what to do.
