Stillen intake vs Jim Wolf POP vs Injen CAI
Stillen intake vs Jim Wolf POP vs Injen CAI
I am a new G35 coupe owner. So if this has all been
discussed before, please direct me with a link.
I've just recently started researching parts for the car.
Looking at the pictures of the Stillen intake, it seems to be
a great design. It comes with an airbox to keep the hot
air away from the intake filter element. This is a similar
design to the Jim Wolf Technology intake/headshield,
except this is a fully enclosed box rather than just a
one sided heatshield.
The airbox also hides the conical filter from the prying
eyes of the Law.
Why would the Injen CAI be any better than the Stillen airbox
intake? How is the air coming in by the front bumper/fender
any cooler than the air going in through the front grill?

Re: Stillen intake vs Jim Wolf POP vs Injen CAI
Don't assume that any version does much* of anything other that create noise.
* Manufacturers dyno test are very suspect, no independent ACCURATE scientific test have shown much beyond 1% gain at very high rpms only.
Less in hood closed testing on the road!
