Get the Plenum spacer, or some HFC's. you will definitely feel a difference with those mods.

they will pass smog ... the problem is passing visual inspection.

If you get the Crawford HFC they look almost stock. Heat shields and all. They might pass visual.

anyone in cali have any issues passing smog with them?

also does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the crawford upper plenum? whats the difference in the plenum? would it not make a difference since i already have a plenum spacer?

For SMOG all they do is connect it up to the OBDII port. If you don't have visual then you won't have any worries. If you get a CEL then you can just use spacers, but most people don't have problems with HFC and check engine lights.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. Keep your stock ones just in case they make you change back. They aren't that hard to swap.

Crawford plenum isn't gonna give you much if any benefit. Might actually take away some by adding too much air which will decrease velocity. Your exhaust is your weak point right now. Cats are #1, the midpipe crush bend section is #2, muffler is #3.

The Crawford V5 cast plenum has dyno'd very well against the 5/16 and the 1/2 spacer. I happened to find a cast unit very cheap so I went with it. There is a definate increase in low end - high end. it's all there on motordyne's dyno sheets. It's "plenum C"

I'd go high flow cats or reflash.

with the exception of the plenum spacer you already have, you're not gonna get a lot of power out of bolt-ons unless you want to spend some coin. a set of upgraded sway bars is very cost effective, can be installed pretty easily, and will create an immediate improvement in the way your car handles. don't sleep on sways...

HFC or TP and tune will give you the best gain right now. You can also look into lightening the weight on your hub.

I have an older crawford plenum model as well as Berk HFCs and invidia exhaust. I can tell you the plenum didn't really do anything, and especially if you have a spacer, you are making more power than the plenum would do anyways. I got a killer deal on the berk HFCs so you should PM M-Motorsports and see if they have any left. Also tuning will give you much more horsepower than most boltons would after you install some HFCs. I forget where Demolition went for his tune but he yielded some great numbers. you should PM him as well and ask which tune/where he went
