Ruling out cracked or warped head too, no oil or coolant leaking from engine anywhere, engine externals completely clean and dry.

I'm thinking it's the rings. Not sure how hard it is to change the rings?

Regarding the smoke, looks like it is deposits being blown from the exhaust under high pressure and not fuel, not rich enough and doesn't smell like unburnt fuel at all. Could be clogged cats? I had a huge amount of carbon buildup which I had cleaned out a while back.

Haven't pulled the plugs out, had them replaced about 5000 ago because I had oil pooling, had it fixed up. Other than that I think the plugs were ok.
Were you able to solve your black smoke issue? I bought 2005 g35 that sat on the driveway for months. It failed smog cause of some mild black exhaust smoke at high rev during the snap test. I have replaced plugs and fuel pump/regulator, new air filter, cleaned out the mag sensor. I don't know what else to do. I'm guessing it's on rich side due to black smoke. I have used fuel treatment n driven the car to burn old gas and it still getting black smoke. Do I need to replace fuel injectors that could be leaking? I replaced new ignition tube seals due to oil leaks. I found some coil packs that were soak with oil but I cleaned it out with brake cleaners. Could the plugs be bad but not enough to trigger a check engine light? Car has no trouble codes currently. Please anyone with tips and suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you all.
