Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

I just got a quote on a Nismo Exhuast for the Sedan, it will cost $1450 to ship it over from japan. The Stillen catback is like $950. So is the Nismo worth the extra $500? other thing also is it will take up to 10 weeks to get the Nismo. But if you guys think its a superior exhuast I might go ahead and order it.

Re: Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

I have one of the early Stillen's since January with no problems at all. Build quality is very good and nice torque and sound. A bit loud for some under 3K, but at WOT it sounds awesome. Really turns heads to see what the hell just went by. Especially combined with a K/N drop-in and Z-Tube.

I havent heard the Nismo.

Oh, I forgot to mention I have the sedan version. If you have a coupe, I dont think aftermarket cat-backs are really adding much power.

Stillen will have a huge power gain. And I think the muffler and tips look really good.

Congratulations! You have just won 1 million punches in the face!

Re: Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

Here's a question for everyone. What's the difference between the NISMO CATBACK vs. WELDINA?

Re: Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

This only applies to the coupe, I have no idea what it means for the sedans.

As far as I can tell the Nismo found in the states is designed for the 350Z. That's why you need the 6 inch extension to make it fit the G coupe. The Weldina on the otherhand is designed to fit the G, but is only available from Japan.

Re: Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

The Stillen has more overall torque/power, from what I've seen and heard. "Turns alot of heads" on these boards generally means that it's loud and annoying to other people. The Stillen is definitely louder than stock, but so is the Nismo (Stillen might be a little louder).

Re: Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

The Nismo exhaust tips (even after the 6" extension in the mid pipe) will not extend as far as your stock tips. It is an exhaust for the 350Z. The Fujitsubo is comparable to the Nismo but is made for the G, thus will fit like it should. However the pictures I've seen appear to have tips that are larger than stock (diameter is larger) and depending on your taste, may look like ricey fart cans. Edit: Just realized you are inquiring about a sedan...I'm not sure how the tips look for the sedan, or if it's even available.

Re: Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

My Fujitsubo should be here any day now. I love the sound and the performance is about where I want it to be. I know alot of Z and coupe guys love the Fuji, unfortuately I haven't heard much about it on the sedan. The price is right though, $640.

Re: Nismo Exhaust or Stillen?

I still can't understand why the nismo exhaust for the g35 coupe is $1300 more than the 350z??
Does anyone second this?
