Nismo flywheel questions?
Nismo flywheel questions?
Hello all,
I did a search and was able to find very few answers concerning the nismo flywheel. It seems as though most members on this forum are going with the superlight flywheels around 11-14lbs. And, most members seem to have the JWT package. That being said, there isn't that much info using heavier flywheels such as the Nismo 23 lbs and the SPEC 27lbs. So hopefully someone can help.
I'm really leaning towards the Nismo flywheel. Basically its not super light so it could be a good balance between chatter and performance. The one post I did find was the member was using a clutch kit, (I think it was Nismo as well with a Nismo flywheel), that was not sprung. So he had a lot more chatter than expected. I want to use a different clutch kit and since I'm staying basically OEM, and my G is bone stock up till this point, will an Exedy OEM clutch kit work well with a Nismo flywheel? If there are any other opinions or suggestions please feel free to voice them. I want to say the Exedy OEM clutch kit is sprung so I'm guessing that it might be a little less chatter free than an unsprung clutch. Thank you.
Tony

most kit make the noise cause the flywheel cover has to be removed. i have the act setup and it makes some noise but with the radio on u cant hear it. also alot of peoples noise comes from the pilot bearing going bad.
