transmission hose

So I looked under my car today and saw that my transmission cooland hose is leaking. could I use the hoses off of a 350z automatic for my auto g sedan? The dealer asks me for my VIN number, but I don't think that should matter.

just to confirm, are you referring to the two rubber hoses going into the bottom of the radiator, or the 7/16" DIA hard lines that run under the engine. you can get those hoses from infinitipartsusa.com for about $6 ea and the hardlines for ~$38 ea.

if you have an extra car or ride, you could also just take one of the hoses to your local parts store. IIRC, there's nothing particularly special about those hoses. you just have to do a really good job clamping the lines down because there's a lot of pressure through them when the car is running.
