Plenum spacer void warranty?

Quick question guys, I'm about to install a plenum spacer and I'm just curious if I would have any problems getting warranty work done in the future.

Technically yes it should. Unofficially though, it may not but that depends on your dealer. They probably wont ever notice it if you keep your engine cover on.

The dealer wont say crap untill you have a warrenty claim for something engine related. Legally, they cant deny your claim unless its proven that the aftermarket item installed was the direct cause of the pertaining issue.

Case in point: Put it in, put the cover on. If you have any engine problems down the road, for anything, take the spacer off and put it back to stock. Install/removal of the spacer should not take longer than an hour.

I think weve done atleast 5-6 different G/Z motor's all of which had some modifications; whether it be headers, plenum spacer, pulleys etc. I dont think any quetions were asked at all. Aside from that, IIRC the only thing nissan requires us to check is to pull the valve covers and check for sludge build up.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm putting in a spacer tomorrow (now that San Diego isn't flooding any more) and I just wanted to make sure of what I was getting in to.

jt2ma71, I see that you're in Canada. Is this just a Canadian law or does it apply to the states as well?

No, applies to the warranty in general.
