How do you remove the pilot bearing
Pack the hole full of grease and find a suitable size solid peice of metal tube(solid) and give it a whack with a hammer.....it should pop out.At least that is the way i used to do it on older cars and it worked most of the time.
they have pilot bearing removers available at parts stores for rent. just a lil 2jaw tool that expands to catch the backside of the bearing and you use the slide hammer to pull it out. easy. takes a whole 10 seconds to do with the right tools.

Sometimes the input shaft of the tranny extends into that bearing but not always. On the old maxima it did not.
If the G does not, it really gets no wear at all. Not sure why the OP is pooping it out.

I believe the tranny input shaft does in fact reach into the pilot bearing on the G/Z. I only changed it on my friends Z cuz it came with the JWT kit that CZP was selling.
I have used the two and three prong pullers on many and they never seem to work worth a damn. Packing it with grease and using a punch has worked on the most stubborn so far for me. Seems that the newer cars do not have a lot of surface to bite with the pullers from what I have found.
