New member..general ?'s about problems with my car

Hey all,

I am not sure if this ? is for this particular thread or forum, but if it's not, can you please help direct this ? to the right forum........thx

I have an 04 G35 coupe and for some reason, my VDC, SLIP, and BRAKE indicator light turn on when I start my car.

Sometimes they do come on and sometimes they don't. Other times the indicators just turn off and on by themselves. Any reason for that?

Second, does anyone know if the G35 has a fuel gauge that fluctuates up and down or is it suppose to stay steady?
Ex: Today when I was driving, my fuel was one notch below the 1/2 tank line, and I drove 3 miles and then my gauge needle dipped to one line above the 1/4 tank line.
No matter when I drive it, the needle is always fluctuating.

Check your brake fluid level for the 3 lights coming on. Prolly low and triggering the low fluid light. Not sure about the gas gauge. Mine doesn't do that.

Thanks GAU 8, that's what a factory tech told me about the brake light.

I learned it in a roundabout way. The tech here told me the same except my fluid level was fine. Forced them to scan with the ConsultII scanner. Found the right front wheel speed sensor was disconnected. But if you look at yours and see it's low, before you top it off, take a gander at your brakes all around. If you have any pads that are low, change them out and then check your fluids. Replacing your pads will put fluid back in the MC. So topping it off first can cause some issues after pad replacement.
