Did you get a retune? What is your air fuel reading? Do you have a SES light on?

Is it 11-11.3 at idel when its back firing? Is the SES flashing or just on steady?

I wouldn't drive the car if its flashing, that means your misfire is bad enough it can cause engine damage. Did you unplug a coil pack for the install? Check connectors on coil packs and/or check and change your spark plugs.

Flashing light means a cat damaging misfire. Doesn't indicate engine damage (even tho it is likely) and if you installed bigger injectors and no retune then the stock ECU has done all it can to lean the A/F ratio out and it's still really rich. What are you using to tune? And get it done real soon.

Seriously read NO ONE said it indicated engine damage!! I said it means a bad misfire that COULD cause engine damage!!!

He has a super charger judging by his signature Any misfire in a boosted engine could be catastrophic.

car hasnt been tuned yet..except for when the bolt on super charger was installed a few yrs ago. headers, exhaust, and injectors were all just added. the motor was out of the car completely,so yes coils were unplugged..if i go back to the stock injectors do you think maybe the car will run good enough to at least get it to a shop to have tuned? and thanks for all the help guys

If you have larger injectors and no tune WTF????? You made it sound like like you just added headers and exhaust to your current set up, the injectors would be the most important part of that list when it comes to misfires. Of course it will misfire like a bugger with bigger injectors Also FI and you havent changed plugs in two years get those injectors out of your car before you ***** your motor, go get some new plugs and change your oil because you probobly havent done that in a year either

dont get me wrong i DO take care of my vehicle as far as oil changes, filter changes, procharger oil changes ect. i was unaware a tune needed to be preformed by simply changing injectors, and as far as changing the plugs, why so often?..my g isnt a DD and ive only put about 10k miles on it in the past 2 yrs(when procharger and plugs were installed)

How did you think your engine would compensate for all the extra fuel I see your going fully built this year time to spend some time learning basics because that is very basic knowledge you should have especially if you are DIY you need to know what your doing. I wouldn't go more than 5,000miles on a set of plugs with forced induction, even if they look ok when I pull them I change them its not worth taking a chance over a few $$$ worth of spark plugs.

I may come across as a dick but i am trying to help you out here, I personally don't care if you listen or not run your spark plugs for 4 years but if/when they fail you'll wish you spend the $30 on plugs. You dodged one bullet with the injectors if you would have drove that car for a few days ( put a few hundred miles on it) like that there is a good chance you would have washed out your cylinders and been buying a new engine sooner than expected.

Good Luck with your build.
