Oil consumption
Warranty is through a company based out of Scottsdale, AZ. So far the warranty company has been extremely helpful, it is the dealership however, that is falsifying information. Latest developments include having to pay, out of pocket for the diagnostics, along with the rental car, totaling right around $500. They haven't done anything to resolve my issue! Today upon inspection of my engine bay I noticed several clamps broken, wires and hoses routed incorrectly, bolts missing, what appears to be a few snapped off bolts that were replaced with ones that don't even match the OEM parts.
After seeing that I am furious, I have contacted Infiniti corporate headquarters. I also noticed the smell of burnt oil in the cabin and around the exhaust of the vehicle when I pulled into my garage. Just a wild guess, but I would say it might be burning oil..
Note: They performed a leak down test and bore scope as the only means of diagnostic (that I know of), when I claimed the vehicle has an abnormally loud valve train. If I had to guess, I would say those tests wouldn't locate the problem if it is top end related, obviously, unless a valve is stuck open.
P.S. - ///M Class = M3

I took my car to the dealer the one day because I kept hearing a rattle-like noise every time I accelerated and let off the gas. I think they said it was the valves due to low oil.
Correct, it is the valves, but it happens regardless of oil level.
burning 3+ quarts of oil in 1200 miles is definitely a serious problem.
if its a piston ring problem, driving it hard will cause more consumption, but this is definitely not your fault.
have someone follow your car while you drive it hard, if they see blue smoke, your engine is burning oil.

Definitely get the district manager involved. And if you have to an attorney. Although I wholeheartedly believe this is not your fault. Regardless of who is too blame they will cut their losses and do what you ask with enough pressure from the right people.
