HELP! Doing a spark plug replacement and need advice
Hey guys
i was looking through while working on the diy spark plug replacement and while doing it i found one of my spark plugs chambers flooded with oil. I know thats not good and i should take it to infiniti tommorrow, but what should i do now? Keep putting in all the other spark plugs and finish the job or leave it alone?
Thanks for your input!
Peter

Congratulations, you've discovered the driver side leaking valve cover seal!!!You'll be happy to learn you now qualify to spend around $400 for a new gasket and valve cover, but only if you're lucky enough for the car to be out of warranty.
If the car is still under warranty you will be disappointed to learn you can spend that $400 on other things like:
-100 $1 bills to throw at strippers
-2 tanks of gas
-buying $100 worth of flowers to get out of the GF's/wife's doghouse
-sending me $50 awesome advice fee...hmmm,you still have $50 left,make it a $100 fee
Ok,I'll be serious but only for a minute...It's fine to change out the other plugs and leave the one in #6 cylinder alone, change that one after the new valve cover is installed.
What if he is out of warrenty and can't afford to fix it right away?
Could he use a rag to soak up as much of the oil as possible, then install the new spark plug anyways, but back off on the torque to 15 ft/lbs since the oil on the threading will make it easier to turn in?
