i ask because i made a mistake the last time i fuel the car, i realised AFTER the fact that i fill it up with regular instead of premium ! so i wonder if there are knock sensors on the engine, if so i thought chances are that with the input of those knock sensors the ECM would automaticaly readjust the timing to compensate for this lower octane fuel. Do you think that could be the case ?

The knock sensors will indeed detect the knock and the timing will be retarded to compensate, however, with the REV-UP I believe it says "Premium Fuel Required" vs "Premium Fuel Recommended" and I take this to believe that the adjustment window for the timing with a Rev-Up motor is not wide enough to retard the timing to an acceptable range.

So, is it to say that i should'nt drive the car with this tank of regular fuel ? that i should drain the tank and fill up with premium ? Quite a job !!

Engine appears to run as usual (can't notice a difference in performance or noise); what could happen if i run the car with this regular fuel tank ?

My plan was to add premium gasoline over the regular many time (as soon as there will be room to), to mix existing regular with premium until i completely get rid of the regular fuel un the tank. Does it make sens ?

Yeah, that should be fine, just take it easy until you most of the bad fuel out.
