I don't know much about cars at all. I have the 2006 G35 car and its been maintained really well. I only have about 30k miles on it. When I shut the car off, it makes these noises under the car...like small metal popping or its has some dirt in it. It stops after a few minutes. Also, while I'm driving sometimes I notice this smell that occurs. It's not anything serious at all. It smells like excessive heat or something. Please limit your questions to one thread. Your noises and smells are perfectly normal. How long have you owned your car? Is this your first?

I apologize. This is my second car, but first car with any real type of performance to it. I'm sorry if this sounds stupid. Just a little concerned.

 

That noise you talk about is normal... happens to all cars. Especially when your drove the car long or hard... I believe it's the noise from exhaust manifold.
