A couple small chips so far, but some touch up paint, thinner, and a piece of cloth from an old dress shirt (to rub the paint blot down) make it invisible. A friend who owns a body shop is trying to develop a more chip-resistant paint for grills and running boards. He's had success with his last batch, so I'm going to try it out for him soon.

Total cost for me was less than $30. I did it myself, took my time, and gave it plenty of time to harden. The most amount of time was used for sanding the grill so that the paint could hold on to something instead of smooth chrome.

Man both of your grilles look hot, i wonder how black on a silver sedan would look, prob not that good :/ I love how the Bimmers have blacked out grilles and they look sick, this grille is just too big to make all black i think!!
