hey guys, i was just starting to use the trip system on my coupe a few days ago and wanted to ask some questions since i'm not too sure about it. First off, what gear does it go up to? will it auto shift for you if the RPM is too high? is it bad for the car when you use the trip? how come the car doesn't always allow me to downshift whenever i want? just yesterday, i was coming home from about a 20min drive with the a/c in my car on using the trip and when i parked it in the garage, i smelled this burning smell, i opened up the hood and the engine was really hot, what was wrong? is downshifting using the trip bad for the engine or transmission? is it better overall to just use D? thanks to all.
