Coil Pack Frying...Need help on diagnostics
I need some assistance from the al-mighty G35 Driver Forum Engine Guru's.......last week I fried a coil-pack..first pic shown below...not sure what caused it...all of sudden just happened.....I had a cylinder 1 mis-fire..limped home and pulled into the garage....went ahead and replaced my OEM Cats since I found out that my honeycombs were blown out...then diagnosed back to cylinder 1 and replaced the coil pack..problem solved and engine was running great again.
Last night coming home samething happened.....limped home pulled into the garage and sure enough clyinder 2 misfire now.....Pulled off coil-pack and what do you know.....Fried coil-pack 2 now....so in less than 8 days I have now fried 2 coil-packs...
I dont know why this is happening and I wanted to find out if anyone has ever had this problem or maybe what is causing this? I have considered on replacing my spark plugs and doing a full tune-up on the car.....
Coilpack 1 - Bubble on the inside of it is fried.
Coilpack 2 - just pulled off and same bubble just not as big.
your thoughts would be great!

at the end of the day the front timing cover ground point wasnt the cause...fixed that and still blew coil packs....I re-did all my CAR AUDIO Wiring.....didnt fix anything...re-did my trunk lighting and that wasnt it...my last test was the capacitor I had...I removed it and sure enough I havent blown a coilpack on my car since. I sent you a pm back as well "DRAWGUN"
