Grounding wire okay touching plenum?

Just wondering, cause I noticed the stock plenum can get pretty hot...and i noticed there's one wire that goes near the back end of the tube to the front center of the engine and it lies on the plenum....will the wiring melt from the heat? I noticed everyone seems to have it there, but just curious to ask. THanks in advance!

Re: Grounding wire okay touching plenum?

As long as your wire is of proper specs/construction, there should be no problem. Most decent quality wire jackets used for H-G systems should be good for temps of over 220 degrees. Exposure at higher temps may discolour some of the lighter colour jackets however.
