Extremely NOOB question
Old saying:
Horsepower is how FAST you hit the wall.
Torque is how FAR you go in to the wall.

To piggyback off the OP's question.... Why is my car's power measured with horsepower? It doesn't have a horse pulling it, it has an engine.
