Crawford Catz
Crawford Catz
Does anyone with crawford cats tell me how i can pass inspection?? I heard its illegal to change your catz, but i really want these crawford catz. Would inspection be able to tell if they look at the catz or when they measure the emission my car is giving off??? Because last time i went to inspection they connected this tube to my exhaust to measure something, i wonder if they can tell that way. Any help would be nice. Thank You.
Re: Crawford Catz
I have the Craw CATs and I live in Ca (strictest state).:
a) mine pass the Ca tail pipe emmisions test. I also have a Crawford Plenum.
b) They look "OEM-like" to the casual observer.
But to a really **** inspector they do not compare the huge dual chamber OEM types. Note RT CATS look very "non OEM-like".
c) yes it's illegal to swap out the OEM CATs within the first 5 years of new car purchase.
d) I'm not concerned , most inspectors do not get under the car and actually visually inspect the CATs , once you've passed the tail pipe sniffer test. The Car's so low and they don't put it up on a lift.
e) always keep you OEM CATS around , so you can swap back in a pinch.
