Re: grounding 6th wire

Hey bro, I think that's the one that goes down to the tranny. I read somewhere about that. If you've installed the kit, just pick a convenient spot to hook it into, (maybe the connecting point at back of the intake) and run it down to a reachable spot on the tranny housing. Let me know what you find out and how you do. I'd like to do that too altho I'll have to make up a 6th wire. Let me know the length......L8r

Re: grounding 6th wire

Scoop, I contacted InSaNeAmine again about the 6th wire. He sent back instructions on it's length and connectng points.
Apparently it's 30" and connects to the point at the rear of the intake -right side- and runs down to the air box hold down bolt next to fender. If you'd like to P/M me your email, I'll scan a copy to you.
I'm also working on a 7th wire to run from that same point down to the tranny. L8r bro.

Re: grounding 6th wire

Partially right,
I does connect to the intake, but runs ove to the factory ground point on the drivers side strut tower. You will see the bolt for the factory ground site if you move the factory wire harness.

Re: grounding 6th wire

Why the tranny filler tube bolt? I thought about crawling around under the car this W/E and seeing if there is a good spot to ground directly to the tranny housing.

Re: grounding 6th wire

I spent some time looking this morning under there bro. But go ahead , give it a try. Don't see the point tho. Why go way under there if there's a handy spot up top?

Re: grounding 6th wire

Thanks Bill, I found the factory ground point on the D/S strut tower.
I contacted InSaNeAmine in La. today about the 7th wire to go from the Left rear of the Intake (same point as #3 wire) to the tranny filler tube bolt. *see the attached pic*. It's only a 10" wire. I've forwarded pics to InSaNe to revise his instructions. He'll ship #6 & #7 tomorrow for me. I'll post pics when they come in.
Not sure yet where #7 will terminate on manual trannies. Gotta have a look at manual settup.
Scoop: your very welcome bro. glad to help
L8r bros.....
