Hello Guys. Quick question, I did a search, but didn't come up with anything. I've had my Kinetix Plenum for almost 5 months now. And the other day I popped the hood to check the oil and low and behold, I saw that my plenum was cracked! It wasn't like this a month ago, so it must have happened in the last few weeks. Any similar experiences? FYI, the picture doesn't make it look that bad, but in the light, you can see that it's cracked completely through. I was wondering why my idle became so rough.

what version is that? i've been reading that version 1-3 crack while version 4 is okay so far. just call kinetix and send it back to them. they'll give you the latest version for free.

you have to sign up to view the thread. many 350z owners have had their kinetix plenum crack.. plastic stuff..

That's the old version - you see those bolts in the center section? Those are not there anymore with version 4 (the version I have - no problems for 8K miles) - there are now integrated posts were the bolts used to be and they actually started using a stronger material than before so this should be the version that withstands the test of time - there has not been even one occurence of cracking with the new version over the last four months or so... just contact Kinetix and they will be happy to send you the newest version...

Thanks guys. I read the thread on my350z, wow, I guess it's been happening quite often. Apparently, my plenum has last quite some time, compared to some of them. :-) Thanks for the help.

Same thing happend to me. Called Kinetix up and they shipped out the new V4 out to me stat, and no probs as of yet going on 4 months
